Beermen average 95.8 points per game , still Ross is unsatisfied

With best in the league record, Sam Miguel proved themselves as defending champions in the PBA Philippine Cup due to their 4-game winning streak, which is currently the longest one in the league.

The San Miguel is wax hot marching towards No.1 place with TNT and Rain or Shine both are one game behind them, however Beermen’s point guard Chris Ross believes San Miguel still have to achieve its peak performance.

After surpassing Meralco Bolts, 101-86 Chris Ross said –

“We still have time to reach our peak, and you don’t want to peak too early and you don’t want to peak too late,”

“Hopefully, we want to peak at the right time.”

The Beermen tensed the Bolts in the first quarter itself, 32-13 and never missed a basket to lead by 31 points in the win.

At present Beermen is the hottest team of PBA with TNT and Phoenix that have gained back to back straight victory.

Beermen carries an average of 95.8 points while the opponent is having 87.5 points per game counting the first six games.

Ross wants his team to end the year on a positive note, with a long eight-day break appearing. San Miguel can be seen in action against Blackwater on Jan 6.

“We wanted to end the year right and go with a win, try to stay at the top of the standings,” added Ross. “You don’t want to go to the New Year on a loss. It’s a huge morale boost for us.”
