Rain or Shine face off Blackwater, Racela makes PBA Debut

Coach of Rain or Shine, Caloy Gracia believes the current line-up of roaster is sufficient to win the PBA Philippines Cup. The game collides between Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the Blackwater Elite kick start at 4:15 P.M. Eastern time at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday.

With this match, both teams are looking to grab a share of the leadership in the team standings apart from marking a victory. Whoever, wins the game will give each other at least an ongoing share of leadership, while the loser team will drop to 7th running spot in the 11-game elimination rounds.

Elite are coming off a 99-92 defeat to the Talk N Text KaTropa, while the Elasto Painters are looking to bounce back after a loss to Barangay Ginebra, 74-81 on Sunday.

Coach Garcia that believe RoS are back on track said –

“It’s chemistry that we need to develop quickly,”

“Yes, we have the material to contend and even win, but we will still have to get used to playing with each other. We are breaking in James (Yap) slowly and Jay (Washington) is starting to learn his role in the team.”

Garcia has already warned his roaster about one thing that they cannot take Blackwater for granted, as this is not the team they used to beat in past. Elite in their two years of league journey have notched great respect after upgrading their roster with veteran Mac Belo.

In the meantime, Nash Racela is preparing to make is first PBA coaching debut at 7:00 PM when TNT KaTroppa tangle Meralco.
