Baby Falcons route UPIS in UAAP Junior basketball

 

Looks like the first loss pinched the Adamson most, as a result the Baby Falcons quickly covered up the loss in the UAAP Season 79 Juniors Basketball Tournament by routing University of the Philippines Integrated School, 77-59 on at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Tuesday.

Encho Serrano and Gerry Abadiano combined for massive 42 points as Adamson perked up from their last Saturday’s 73-75 loss against the Far Eastern University-Diliman to improve to 8-1 in the season.

Regaining the control from the 3 point deficit at the start of the second half, Adamson led the show with 25-15 UPIS in the 3rd quarter.

The dominance continued till the last 2 quarter where the Baby Falcons smashed the Junior Maroons, 48-27.

The loss dropped Junior Maroons to 3-6, 2 games behind the Blue Eaglets in the semifinals race.

Veteran Gerry Abadiano had 20 points while Carl Vincent Tamayo added a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds with two blocks to boot for Adamson, which swept the 1st round.

Juan Gomez De Liaño paced UPIS with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Along with Adamson University, National University (NU) also secured a playoff berth in the Final Four spot after defeating De La Salle-Zobel 63-52 win.
