Gordon Hayward scary injury update, Celtics Odds at 20-1

The Boston Celtics are supposed to be showing poise and strength in facing the Cleveland Cavaliers in the opening of the NBA season. Instead of a positive result, Boston’s forward Gordon Hayward suffered a horrific ankle injury in his debut in Celtics’ uniform.

Boston later announced that Hayward fractured an ankle. Howard played 5:15 seconds after incurring the injury.

Hayward’s left ankle turned at such an odd angle that teammates stood in shock as he motioned for help from the sideline.

As of now, nobody knows the extent of Howard’s injury. When will he be able to return?

Howard signed a four-year, $128 million contract in July, the first of two All-Stars they acquired this summer after acquiring Irving in a trade with the Cavs. Gordon Hayward averaged 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game playing in Utah in 2016-2017 season.

Boston Celtics immediately decreased from 10-1 to 20-1 at Westgate.
