Cavaliers vs Thunder: LeBron James playing for the second time with the new faces

LeBron James looks to deliver his best with the younger roster the Cavs possessed from the previous trade as they face the star-studded Oklahoma City Thunder in Tuesday’s NBA showdown in Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK. Cavaliers vs Thunder will be televised on TNT.

The Cavaliers surprisingly trampled down the Celtics, 121-99, in which the new faces played well to compliment the high-octane performance of James who scored 24 points in 9 of 20 shooting from the field.

While Cleveland lost the services of Dwayne Wade, Derrick Rose and Isaiah Thomas in the offense, the new comers had younger legs to play tight defense against the Celtics. Also, they supplied the necessary offense. Rodney Hood posted 15 points while Jordan Clarkson added 17 points. Larry Nance Jr. also contributed five points. George Hill was inserted into the starting line up and he produced 15 points and six rebounds.

It will be a litmus test for the Cavaliers as they will visit the Thunder who have enough offensive firepower.

The Thunder (32-25) have won two of their last two games. Paul George scored 33 points to lead the Thunder beating the Grizzlies, 110-92, in their previous game. George attacked the basket continuously as he shot 10 of 24 from the field and 8 of 11 from the free throw line.

Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony didn’t play in the last two games because of sprained ankles. The due’s status for today’s game remains unknown. It would be a dream to see the Thunder at full force playing against the Cavs overhauled roster.
